Timothy McVeigh, sentenced to death for the worst terrorist attack on American soil (the Oklahoma City bombing) said that violence against the government was an acceptable option to keep the government in check. McVeigh never admitted guilt during his first television interview, but said he was disillusioned with the US government and felt terrible that children had been killed in the bombing. McVeigh is appealing his death sentence, saying the jury was influenced because he was seen so often in prison
