U.S. soldiers caught a truck trying to enter Syrian carrying half a billion dollars worth of gold. Syria is thought to have provided, for a price, sanctuary for many senior Baath party officials. Diplomatic pressure on Syria is expected to eventually flush these Iraqis out.

Television broadcasts have resumed in Baghdad. 

The former Iraqi armed forces and security services have been officially dissolved. This was necessary because government salaries are now being paid by the coalition. So, technically, the former troops and police are eligible for payments.
